Obviously, my heritage is what I am most proud of. To be a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce, a granddaughter, is not to be ignored...or tarnished.

Honor is utmost in my bloodline from King Robert, King David, Malcolm III, Kenneth MacAlpin, the Dalriada and the Templars. Sir William Marshall, from my British line, protected three kings. This line travels back to King Alfred and Charlemagne.

I do not write this to brag but as a record for my children and grandchildren. I want them to understand the honor that is bestowed on them to be a member of such an honorable family...and act accordingly. Honor, duty and courage is of the utmost importance.

This is one of the reasons that I write the books that I do. To give them a sense of what Scotland has always stood for and the reason to be proud of it. My daily prayer is that I do not tarnish the  good names of my grandparents in anything I say or do.
