A Haunting Tale
I read this book hoping that I would like it since I am an avid romance fan for the most part. The story piqued my curiosity, though, so I gave it a whirl.
I will not go into the story line since one reviewer has already covered that. Instead, I will give my impressions of what I read.
First of all, I like the cover. The dark picture draws me in to take a closer look. The detail of his armor and weapons are excellent! Kudos to the artist.
Like I said before...I hoped that I would like it. I was wrong. I loved this story...even without any romance in it.
The characters are compelling, the tale is intriguing and it keeps you guessing all the way through it.
On the “con” side, it left me feeling like I did not receive the entire story. I am certain that this was intentional but it left me unfulfilled, just the same. That is my problem, though. I like to read straight through to the end with no detours or months of waiting for the next morsel. This is why I stopped watching soap operas. Like I said...that’s just me.
The other thing that bothered me were the typos. There were not so many as to take away from enjoying the book but there were some that I had to pause and figure out. The “dragonkinddragonkin” I believe is deliberate on the author’s part but I would have hyphenated it, I think.(It’s that irritating “perfectionist” in me rearing it’s ugly head again!)
I highly recommend this book to all who love fantasy. I will give it five stars, even though I feel like I haven’t finished reading it, since I spoke with the author and he said that the typos are being repaired.

A truly enchanting book to read. I thoroughly enjoyed Blessing The Highlander. Pulled me in and hooked me right at the start, never letting go until the end. I enjoyed the fact the heroine didn't pull any obvious stupid stunts. Fresh and unpredictable enough to really enjoy.

Blessing The Highlander - I liked it November 29, 2012
I downloaded this book free from Amazon, but I would have paid money for it. Blessing the Highlander was a fun read!

Janet led a horrible, worthless life, and on her deathbed, she was given the opportunity to live another life to make a difference, without her memories. Thus begins an adventure in love and adventure.

Her first life was not the life she was supposed to leave. Unknowingly, she was half-fae and her jealous sister (Diedre) moved her forward in time to live the unhappy life she led. To keep from being punished, Diedre moved Janet back to her proper time for her second life, where she met and fell in love with the Laird Garrick Brodie. There, she was unknowingly in the center of a Fae battle.

While I didn't like Janet very much, that wasn't really her fault - she couldn't remember anything and I felt the book really wasn't about her. The OTHER characters were fun to read about, especially the Fae. I loved that you could see how much both her fathers loved her, how fun-loving Deidre was, and how devoted Garrick was. There was enough intrigue to keep me interested, though I knew right-away who was the villain.

It was a fun, quick read and I'm glad I took the time to read it.

Tarnished Honor Reviews

5.0 out of 5 stars Just the right mix of love, lust and tension! November 24, 2012
By MartyH
Format:Kindle Edition
I read this wonderful love story in one sitting, never skipping a sentence or a paragraph - which I somewhat guilty admit is a habit of mine to rush stories along. Brighde, the beautiful damsel in distress has spunk and a mind of her own. Her benefactor, a man large in heart, honor and stature, Connell is tough on the outside, but surprisingly tender on the inside. Their union has a rocky beginning, and the trials continue with the relentless pursuit of her former suitor Ross. I found this story to have just the right mix of love, lust and tension to keep my interest to the very last page. I'm happy to recommend Tarnished Honor and look forward to reading more from this author.

Delightful Story! December 5, 2012

by  Anne S.

Kindle Edition

This story sizzles with chemistry as Arianna and Connall adjust to their circumstances. She was shamed into wedding the Earl by her uncle. Not given much of a choice...she gives in to the pressure.

Connall was going home after a two year absence when he stopped for the night while passing through.  When the offer is made to him, he accepts rather than see her wed to a wife-killer.

I would say more but I don't wish to spoil it for others. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. The characters were a delight. Definitely worth the time to read.

Lokai's Curse Reviews

Wonderful! December 6, 2012

Kindle Edition

Diedre and Lokai return in this book to finish their story. Wed to her jailer, she must repent of her interference in Seonaid and Garrick's lives. Lokai's mission is to help her without breaking her spirit. The irony is that he needs her scheming ways to defeat his father's bid for the throne...a father he thought to be dead.

These are my favorite characters from "Blessing The Highlander" and I was happy to see their story finished. It is a well-written story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
